Meet the Staff

Suzanne Williams

Suzanne is a Lead Instructor at Power and Grace and is the co-owner as well! She taught PE for eight years and was a competitive gymnast for 20 years, finishing out her career at The University of Arizona. When Miss Suzanne is not at Power and Grace … who are we kidding she is always at Power and Grace!!!  Suzanne’s favorite thing about Power and Grace is all the little kids that get excited to show her the new tricks they have learned.

Miss Suzanne has two little girls, Graylyn Louise and Renley Jaye.  She enjoys teaching gymnastics and spending time with her family, and she chose to combine those two things with Power and Grace.

Trevor Williams

Trevor is a Lead Instructor at Power and Grace and is also the co-owner! He taught in Jefferson County for five years and has a degree in physical education. He also has a background in safety supervision, so make sure you mind your P’s and Q’s when you are around Mister Trevor ;o). Trevor’s favorite thing to teach at Power and Grace is back handsprings! He loves the proud looks of a student when they do their back handspring by themselves for the first time.

Mr. Trevor has the same two little girls that Miss Suzanne has; and he enjoys golfing, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.

Sarah Hendrick

Sarah Hendrick is a Lead Instructor who comes to Power and Grace with an excited spirit and a mentality of hard work. Like Suzanne and Trevor, she is also a licensed elementary education teacher here in Kentucky. Sarah has been involved in the cheerleading world for over 20 years, with 8 years of personal experience at the collegiate level, and an additional 10 years of coaching experience at all levels and for all ages. She has coached both All-Star and school cheerleading at competitive and recreational levels. We are very fortunate to have Sarah, with her wide range of experience in coaching.

Miss Sarah is a wife, and a mother of a 6-year-old boy named Pryce and a 3-year-old girl named Lucy. Her passion is for details! Sarah does an excellent job making sure that her students are learning their skills safely and fundamentally sound so they can continue to advance in the sport. Her favorite moments as a coach are watching her students hard work pay off when they fully master a new skill.

Helen Alvey

Helen Alvey is a student at Spaulding University where she is pursuing a doctorate degree in Psychology. She grew up in the gymnastics world but found her passion in the sport of Diving. Helen committed herself to hours of strenuous elite level training and was rewarded with a full ride scholarship to Georgia Tech. Helen has been coaching off and on since she was 16 years old but always finds herself pulled back in to the world of sports where hard work and dedication are rewarded with first place finishes and competitiveness and perfectionism never go unnoticed. She is excited to help our Xcel team achieve their gymnastics goals this season.
